Pneumatic transmission

Pneumatic transmission, a fluid transmission that uses compressed gas as the working medium and relies on the pressure of the gas to transmit power or information with the air compressor hose clamp. The system of transferring power is to transfer compressed gas to pneumatic actuators through pipelines and control valves. The pressure energy of compressed gas is converted into mechanical energy for work. Information transfer system is the use of pneumatic logic elements or jet elements to achieve logical operations and other functions, also known as pneumatic control system.

 

The working pressure of pneumatic transmission is low, generally 0.3~0.8 mpa. Due to small viscosity of gas and small resistance loss of pipeline, pneumatic transmission is convenient for centralized gas supply and medium distance transmission, and it is very safe to use, without explosion and electric shock risk, with overload protection ability; but the speed of pneumatic transmission is low and air source is needed.

Hydraulic transmission

Hydraulic transmission is to use liquid as working medium to transfer energy and control hydraulic mechanical transmission.

 

The basic principle of hydraulic transmission is to use the hydraulic pump will be prime mover's mechanical energy is converted into a liquid pressure can, through the change of liquid pressure can transfer energy, through a variety of control valves and piping, with the aid of hydraulic actuators (hydraulic cylinder fittings or motors); the liquid pressure can be converted into mechanical energy, and thus drive work mechanism to realize the straight line reciprocating motion and rotary motion. The liquid in it is called working medium, it is mineral oil commonly; its action and the transmission element such as belt, chain and gear in mechanical transmission are similar.

hydrodynamic drive is a fluid transmission which uses liquid kinetic energy to transfer energy as working medium. The impeller converts the input speed and torque of the power machine (internal combustion engine, motor, turbine, etc.) to drive the working part of the machine through the output shaft. The liquid interacts with each impeller mounted on the input shaft, output shaft and shell to produce the change of moment of momentum, so as to achieve the purpose of energy transfer. Hydraulic transmission and hydrodynamic drive rely on liquid pressure energy to transfer energy in principle, structure and performance are very different. The input shaft and output shaft of hydraulic transmission are only connected by liquid as working medium, and the components are not in direct contact, so it is a non-rigid transmission.

 

The application of hydrodynamic drive in modern machinery began in the early 20th century. It was first used as a transmission mechanism between ship power plant and propeller to solve the problem of reduction transmission between high-power and high-speed gas turbine and propeller whose speed was restricted by cavitation. Now hydrodynamic drive has been widely used in automobiles, tractors, construction machinery, construction machinery, railway locomotives, tanks and armored vehicles, oil drilling machinery, lifting transport machinery, fans, water pumps and other products.
