1. How to troubleshoot hydraulic cylinders?
The hydraulic cylinder is an executive element of the hydraulic transmission system, and its operation failure is not only caused by the hydraulic cylinder itself, but also related to the entire system. Therefore, carefully observe the symptoms of the failure when troubleshooting the operation of the hydraulic cylinder. We must use logical reasoning and item-by-item forcing methods to carefully analyze the cause of the fault from the outside to the inside, so as to determine the troubleshooting method and avoid blindly dismantling and dismantling.
The failure of the hydraulic cylinder to work often occurs on the hydraulic cylinder that has just been installed. When troubleshooting this fault, first find the cause from outside the hydraulic cylinder. Whether the resistance of the moving parts of the hydraulic cylinder is too large, whether it is stuck, wedged or resisted to other parts. Whether the inlet oil pressure reaches the specified value. After excluding the external factors, further check the internal causes of the hydraulic cylinder, and take corresponding elimination methods.
Among the many reasons for the malfunction of hydraulic cylinders, improper installation, improper use and improper maintenance are the causes of its malfunctions. Poor actions of the hydraulic cylinder are mostly manifested as the inability of the hydraulic cylinder to move, the insensitive movement of the hydraulic cylinder (blocking phenomenon) and the movement of the hydraulic cylinder crawling.
When selecting a hydraulic cylinder, in addition to considering the most basic conditions, such as inner diameter, stroke, working pressure, and installation form, the following conditions must be met. First of all, when the operating speed of the hydraulic cylinder reaches a certain standard after being loaded, a hydraulic cylinder with a buffer device is required. Or when reaching higher speeds, a reduction valve must be installed outside the hydraulic cylinder. Second, carefully select hydraulic oil and oil seals. Different hydraulic oils are suitable for oil seals of different materials to ensure the life of the hydraulic cylinder.
In order to reduce costs, some manufacturers do not quench and temper the piston rod. The rod is not plated enough and the cylinder barrel finish is not up to the standard. The guide sleeve should be made of copper instead of ductile iron. Although the cost has been reduced, the quality of the hydraulic cylinder is not satisfactory.
