For the hydraulic rubber hose assembly, the buckling position is the weakest part of the whole assembly, and the quality problems mostly focus on this.

 

In addition, due to the aging problem of rubber, leakage will also occur at the buckling site when a certain period of time is exceeded. Therefore, the hydraulic hoses and fittings is a vulnerable part and should be replaced regularly to avoid accidents. There are 3 types of faults that often occur in hydraulic rubber hose assemblies as follows:

Leakage at buckling position

 

Due to poor size control, rubber aging will cause leakage of buckling part. In practical operation, the selection of fit size and buckling amount between rubber tube and core is very important, and the extension deformation of rubber itself makes it difficult to control its size.

 

JAZZY offers cloth surface rubber hydraulic hose, dunlop hiflex hydraulic rubber hose, and etc. However, at present, neither domestic nor foreign technology can control its tolerance within a small range. For example, for 19 tubes, the nominal diameter of the inner hole is 19 0.5 mm, and the outer diameter of the two-layer steel wire braided reinforced layer is 27.5 0.8 mm. According to the standard, the outer diameter of the selected core is 19 0.1 mm, the outer hole of the outer jacket is 28.5 0.1 mm, and the outer diameter is 37 0.1 mm. To assemble the tube core together, the cumulative tolerance is 1.4 mm, while the optimal compression ratio of rubber is 0.4 0.5 mm. If the shrinkage deformation of core and outer jacket after buckling is taken into account, it is difficult to achieve the best compression ratio by controlling the buckling amount alone. Although it is feasible in theory, it will be affected by factors such as different size accuracy of rubber tube, size error of core outer jacket and different shrinkage deformation degree of core outer jacket in practical operation.

Generally, it shows leakage or linear jet after bubbling. Oil leakage from rubber tube trachoma is mostly caused by the quality of rubber hose clamp, such as the internal rubber contains impurities and local damage. But sometimes the outer gum bubbles are not necessarily trachoma. If the inner gum breaks down due to fatigue, the hydraulic oil will leak from the rupture, permeate and diffuse along the steel wire reinforcement layer, and form oil bubbles at the weak part of the outer gum.

Pipe joint fault

 

Pipe joints cracking and fitting accuracy can cause leakage. Pipe joint cracking is the most common problem. Material defects such as sand and impurities, as well as the strength and morphology of blanks will cause material cracking.

 

Dimensional accuracy problems of pipe joints are easy to cause oil leakage at the connection fit, even if the dimensional accuracy of pipes and fittings meets the requirements and ignores the accuracy of their cooperation with rubber hydraulic hose assembly or other components, problems will occur. Therefore, the dimensional accuracy should be reasonably designed, manufactured and strictly controlled to reduce and prevent leakage.
