A typical hydraulic system or hydraulic power transmission generally consists of a pressure oil supply system, a pressure regulating system/component, a flow regulating system/component, a direction regulating system/component, and a load execution system/original. No matter how simple or complex the hydraulic system in actual engineering basically includes four basic systems. Although the actual use of hydraulic systems is diverse, there are some industry specifications that need to be complied with in their pressure test and subsequent system debugging.
Before the system dry running test, a refueling trolley or device with a filter should be used to add a working medium that meets the design requirements to the system fuel tank. This kind of refueling trolley or device and working medium are available in the market. We recommend that it is best to buy branded products with a big reputation in industry. Remember not to inject unfiltered working medium directly into the fuel tank.
In addition, the filter accuracy of the fuel tanker should be at least equal to the highest filter accuracy of the system, which can extend the life of the filter element actually installed in the system as much as possible. Because the replacement of any components installed on the circuit in the hydraulic system is more labor-intensive and time-consuming, especially hydraulic ball valves and hydraulic shutoff valves.
Before the dry running test, we need to remove the oil outlet of the hydraulic pump and the possible drain connection pipe, and then turn the coupling by hand according to the regulations of the pump to make the pump suck oil and the oil outlet of the pump Oil until the oil has no bubbles. Then we fill the drain port of the pump or motor with a working medium that meets the filtration accuracy requirements. Finally, we need to connect the unloaded pump outlet pipe and drain pipe. In this process, we should pay attention to the use of hydraulic hose repair clamps and constant tension clamps.
Actual hydraulic systems may use gear pumps/motors, plunger pumps/motors, vane pumps/motors individually or in combination depending on customers, load technical requirements and environmental requirements. Even on some special low-noise occasions, we may use medium and low pressure screw pumps. Generally speaking, both plunger pumps and plunger motors have drain ports. Therefore, before dry running, we must check whether the pumps and motors in the system have drain ports.
Before the dry run test, we should use short-circuit transition plates to isolate hydraulic actuators such as cylinders or motors from the system circulation circuit. If high-precision and high-priced components such as servo valves and proportional valves are used in the system, they should also be isolated from the loop. The purpose of isolation is to allow the working medium to return to the tank through the main overflow valve without short-circuiting these components. In addition, we should tighten the adjustment screw/handle of the main relief valve of the system to the loosest level, and open all the valves in the system that may increase the resistance of the working medium to the maximum. At the same time, the oil cylinder and motor should not be loaded. Therefore, employees are required to be good at using various stainless steel hydraulic adapters and hydraulic couplings.
When designing and debugging a hydraulic system, you should read each component, such as push fit pipes and bushing reducers, used in the system in detail, not only to understand its performance, but also to know the location and function of each interface.
